Britney Spears' paparazzo pal says she desperately needs her sons

Paparazzo Adnan Ghalib has revealed that things would improve for Britney Spears if she could see her kids again.

The on-off boyfriend of the Toxic star told Entertainment Tonight (29 January) that Spears desperately needs her sons, Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1, back to improve her own health.

Ghalib said: "She needs to get the kids back."

Adnan also told of how Spears is scared she will lose custody of her kids for good.

He said: "Absolutely (worried). It's a very real fear."

Ghalib started dating Britney Spears in December 2007 and has been seen accompanying the troubled singer on shopping excursions, restaurant outings and to court, even though he was still reportedly married.

On January 18, 2008, Azlynn Elizabeth Berry, Ghalib's wife of four years, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She seeks spousal support and for Ghalib to cover her legal expenses.

Britney is currently allowed to have a telephonic relationship with her kids, but has still not had visitation rights restored.

The next hearing in the custody battle is due to take place February 19.
