Oprah Winfrey gets tubby bronze statue cast in her honour

Here's TV host Oprah Winfrey as you've never seen her before - as a nude bronze sculpture.

Controversial US artist Daniel Edwards has cast the presenter as a curvaceous goddess of fertility.

The artwork, The Oprah Sarcophagus, bears a striking resemblance to the coffin that housed the body of Egyptian boy king, Tutankhamun.

The 42-year-old New York artist says it pays homage to the closest thing America has to a living deity. His previous works include a sculpture of Britney Spears giving birth and one of Paris Hilton lying dead. He also famously created a bronze likeness of the first 'poop' done by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter, Suri.
