Keith Urban "over the moon" about Nicole Kidman's pregnancy

Country music star Keith Urban is "over the moon" about wife Nicole Kidman's pregnancy.

The Aussie singer - who, along with 'Stepford Wives' star Nicole, 40, announced the happy news last month - still can't believe he is going to be a father.

He said: "Over the moon is literally how I feel - I'm very, very grateful! Performing in general has taken on a whole new feeling for me, certainly in light of fatherhood and so on."

Keith, 40, also revealed he is planning on writing a song to dedicate to his first child when Nicole gives birth in July, adding: "It has been a really beautiful journey."

Before returning to Australia from the US, Keith is hoping to work on his upcoming studio album, which is set to include a duet with 'Maneater' Nelly Furtado.

He told Australia's Herald Sun newspaper: "I'm going to be doing quite a bit more songwriting and bringing some people down to Sydney to work with me. I'll also be doing some more work in Nashville and in Los Angeles.

"It was a blast getting to sing on a track with Nelly too - it's a great song and I hope it pans out."
