Amy Winehouse will perform at the Grammy Awards via satellite
Amy Winehouse won't be flying to America to attend Sunday's Grammy Awards, as she's been denied her U.S. visa - but a music executive close to the show says she'll perform via satellite.
The 'Rehab' star - who has been nominated for six gongs, including album and record of the year and best new artist, will also accept her awards via satellite if she wins.
Winehouse's rep announced earlier today that the singer's request for a U.S. visa was denied by the American Embassy.
"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," her publicist said in a statement obtained by the Associated press.
In October last year, the beehived songstres was arrested and fined in Norway for possession of marijuana. She says she will appeal that charge in a Norwegian court. The singer, known for her alleged drug use and erratic behavior, was also seen in a recent video circulating the web of her apparently using a crack pipe
