Lipstick Jungle hits our screens

A saucy new series dubbed the new Sex and the City has premiered in the U.S.

Lipstick Jungle is based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell, who inspired the long-running Sex and the City series.

The new show follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of their lives in New York. And it's sure to be a hit.

Married woman Nico, played by 24's Kim Raver, got hot and heavy in the first episode with a 25-year-old staffer at the hot New York magazine she edits.

The series also focuses on movie executive Wendy, played by Brooke Shields, as she tries to balance her career and family and free-spirited designer Victory, played by Lindsay Price, who longs to make her dreams come true and find Mr. Right.
