George ClooneyHollywood hunk George Clooney has revealed he was furious when Brad Pitt beat him to a role in 'Thelma and Louise'.

The 'Micheal Clayton' star - who became close pals with Pitt after they starred in the 2001 film 'Ocean's Eleven' - was desperate to play the cowboy hitchhiker in the hit 1991 film - and couldn't bring himself to watch the movie after losing out on the part.

He said: "I remember when Brad got the role and I didn't know who he was.

"I was like, 'F**k that guy!' I didn't want to watch the movie for a couple of years after that because I knew it was a great part and ended up being the greatest breakthrough part of all time."

George - who made his name starring in US TV hospital drama 'ER' from 1994 to 1999 - also insists he would never consider returning to the show.

He added to the Radio Times magazine: "All those rumours of an 'ER' reunion are a complete myth. You read a lot of different things in different place. I'm of the generation that still believes that if it's written down there's some element of truth in it."
