Heather Mills rings Paul McCartney over affair claims

Heather Mills and Paul McCartneyHeather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney reportedly had a telephone showdown Sunday, after reports surfaced that Heather, 40, had cheated on the former 'Beatle' at the beginning of their romance.

Film editor Tim Steel claims he and the one-legged former glamor model were an item when she started dating Paul in 2000.

Heather, dubbed Mucca by British tabloids due to her porn past - is believed to have phoned the multi-millionaire music legend last night to deny the allegations made in Britain's News of The World newspaper newspaper – and to try to secure a last minute divorce deal.

"Heather kept phoning Paul but he wouldn't take her calls," says a source close to the embattled former couple. "When she eventually got through she was in tears and very emotional.

"She wanted to tell him she's innocent. She's worried that every time something bad is written about her, [her divorce settlement] will go down. But he was very cool throughout the conversation. He ended it by simply saying: 'I'll see you in court.'"

Following the revelations, Heather is believed to have told Sir Paul, 65, she's willing to settle for $20m.

Heather and Sir Paul - who is believed to be worth around $1.6bn - came face-to-face at London's High Court today for a 5-day closed hearing.

"He was in good spirits, quite a jaunty mood,' the source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "He is relishing the forthcoming court case as he was always prepared to go all the way."

Yes, I'll bet he was

Yes, I'll bet he was prepared to go all the way. I think it's obvious to everyone who planted that little gem. Is there no low this happy-slapping Beatle won't sink to?

This the guy who

This the guy who successfully sued John, George and Ringo over their final Beatle contract that gave each of them a piece of Paul's earnings after the Beatles broke up.

You know Macca is licking his chops to get this lightweight floozy in the courthouse. You bet it is going to be "Scorched Earth" tactics. She'll be lucky to get monthly public transit passes.
