Scarlett Johansson's rep denies engagement rumors

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are not engaged, despite reports to the contrary.

Scarlett, 23, sparked marriage rumors after she was seen shopping for a wedding dress with her mother.

The Lost In Translation star has been dating Reynolds for 12 months - and recently denied they were engaged. But last week she was seen at Los Angeles boutique Monique Lhuillier with mum Melanie, looking at bridal gowns.

A source told a US newspaper: "They stayed for a while."

But Scarlett's rep insists the couple aren't walking down the aisle after all, telling Us Weekly magazine: "A family member is getting married, not her. She is not engaged."
