Jennifer Aniston blows out the candles on her giant birthday cake

What did she wish for? Lovelorn actress Jennifer Aniston blew out the candles on her surprise giant birthday cake while filming her upcoming movie.

The A-list beauty was treated to the huge ice-cream cake by the cast and crew of romantic drama Travelling, in Vancouver, to mark her 39th birthday. "The crew all gathered around and sang a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday to a delighted Jen," said a source.

"There were hugs and kisses for everyone, from everyone."

Good wishes also poured in from far-away friends and several large bouquets of flower were delivered to her swanky trailer.

The unlucky-in-love Friends star let her hair down when she and 20 friends - including Travelling director Brandon Camp - took over a restaurant for a lively dinner party. "Everyone ordered so many dishes," said an onlooker. "They tried everything. They were just having such a good time."

As the meal wound down, restaurant staff presented Brad Pitt's ex with the huge ice-cream birthday cake. "When it was wheeled out from the kitchen, everyone started to sing Happy Birthday, including people from the kitchen," says the witness.

The Break Up star then partied until the small hours. "Jennifer had a big smile on her face, she had a really good time with all of her friends - and seemingly didn't want the evening to end."
