Jennifer Lopez's hospital on red-alert over kidnapping fears

The hospital where Jennifer Lopez is set to give birth to twins is on red-alert over kidnapping fears, according to U.S. reports.

Fearing for the worst, the Long Island hospital has reportedly been conducting drills in case there is an emergency when Lopez has her babies.

Lopez is due to have her first children within days, according to U.S. sources. And to make sure everything goes smoothly staff at the North Shore Medical Center conducted a "Code Pink" drill last Friday.

"Code Pink" is the hospital's code for locking down the facility to prevent a kidnapping attempt, a source at the hospital said.

Although Lopez herself has not confirmed she is expecting a double bundle of joy, her loose-lipped dad has been more forthcoming. "They are twins, yes," David Lopez told a Spanish TV station last week.

He added that twins are hereditary in the Lopez family, with his sister also having had a pair of youngsters. "To be a mother is something Jennifer has wanted for many years," Lopez said. "I feel super-proud."

The 39-year-old singer and actress - whose credits include Maid in Manhattan and Monster in law - is married to Marc Anthony. She confirmed her pregnancy during a concert in November.
