Britney Spears' dad retains co-conservatorship

February 15 2008

Britney Spears, Jamie Spears Britney Spears father will remain in control of the troubled star's affairs for another month.

Jamie Spears power to control his daughter's life was extended last night at a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Commissioner Reva Goetz extended the conservatorship order until at least March 10.

Under the powers of the conservatorship order, Jamie Spears is able to restrict the visitors Britney receives and has the right to approve contracts.

Spears' parents applied for the order after Britney was committed at the UCLA Medical Center in the early morning hours of January 31. They hope the measures approved by the court will allow them to calm the craziness that has surrounded the pop star.

The commissioner has also ordered that Britney undergo an evaluation to see if her home is stable enough for her children to visit.

Currently Kevin Federline has full custody of the children and Britney has no contact or visitation.
