Heather Mills launches scathing attack on Paul McCartney

February 15 2008

Heather MillsHeather Mills launched a scathing attack on Sir Paul McCartney outside court today -- after the 65-year-old music legend refused to autograph a Beatles CD for a fan.

When Sir Paul, 65, was approached by a Joe - a longtime Beatles fan - Paul politely responded "I can't sign that here."

Mills , 40, then approached 50-year-old Joe to criticize her estranged husband's behavior, saying: "You should have told him that it's his fans who made him rich and famous. You put him where he is."

Heather then autographed the fan's notebook, writing: "To Joe, lots of love, Heather Mills."

The fan, who would not give his full name, had asked Sir Paul to sign an original of the Beatles White Album.

Joe revealed: "I'm a lifelong fan of Sir Paul and the Beatles. I brought down my collection, the White Album, Abbey Road and the others, so he would sign them.

"I'm so disappointed that he wouldn't. I don't understand. He just said: "I can't sign that here."

"Heather was really nice about it. She signed my book and said I should tell him that it's fans like me who made him rich and famous. I guess she's right."

Meanwhile, Paul and Heather are set to return to the High Court on Monday after failing to reach a conclusion today.

A court spokesman said: "It will go on until Monday. It [the court] has not been booked beyond that yet, but it could be."

It is thought that Heather's decision to represent herself has caused proceedings to run on longer than expected. She has reportedly cross examined Sir Paul and his legal team.

Tough titties Joe. That's

Tough titties Joe. That's one LP you won't be able to now flog off on ebay for a fortune. You went to get Macca's autograph and you ended up with Mucca's. Bit like ordering steak and getting sausages, really.

That was in really bad taste

That was in really bad taste for Joe to ask for a autograph at court .Doesnt he have any respect for Paul ?? Paul did the right thing by telling this stalker that it wasnt the right place. All that autograph hound was trying to do is make hisself a buck on ebay selling Paul signature.

I think Paul should have

I think Paul should have signed it.

The man is going to court

The man is going to court for a divorce trial; I'm sure the first thing on his mind was, "I hope some fans show up today so I can sign a few autographs!" Under a different setting/circumstances, I'm sure he would've signed the album for the guy if he could!

And who'd ask Heather for

And who'd ask Heather for her autograph were it not for her connection with Paul?

Paul owes his success to his

Paul owes his success to his own talents, hard work, generous attitude, civilized values, enthusiasm for life, and unquenchable optimism. He forces no one to buy albums, or concert tickets or anything else. To return some of the love he feels from his fans, he signs autographs when he has the time. He just can't sign them 24/7/365. Because we have bought his album, or many of them, we do not therefore own him--not one extra second of his time do we own. And he gives us extra time and attention and encouragement. He's a class act, and that's why he has so many fans. Some of them get confused from time to time, but when we are all dead, the world will still be rocking to Paul McCartney's music. Let us try to appreciate him with the same generosity he shows us.

Heather is enjoying the

Heather is enjoying the circus atmosphere. And Joe wanted her autograph, she must be thrilled. Joe and the people who think Paul should have signed at this time, all have the same priorites as Heather. None.

Knowing the tricks Heather

Knowing the tricks Heather uses, I wouldn't be surprised if she hired Joe to go down there and do that. Ourside a courthouse during a divorce proceeding is NOT the place to get autographs. That was in very poor taste and I don't blame Paul for not doing it.

His collection just got

His collection just got devalued with her name on them

I see a headline like

I see a headline like "Heather Mills launches scathing attack on Paul McCartney" and I am expecting a story on the Gold Digger trying to get her pound of flesh (along with millions of pound sterling).

Instead I read a story on a minor incident where this spiteful woman took advantage of a moment in the media spotlight to get an undeserved shot below the belt.

This story is a "puff piece" trying to inflame emotions and gossip. It succeeded in doing so, but there is no news here.

Paul may have been in a conversation or minding his own business. He is not required to autograph every piece of paper thrust in his face every time it happens.
