Russell Crowe thinks the Pope looks like an undertaker

February 15 2008

Russell CroweGladiator star Russell Crowe shocked US chat show viewers when he said the Pope looks like an UNDERTAKER.

The 43-year-old actor made the blunder when he told host Jay Leno he received a framed blessing after he got married. "It was the previous one - not the current one who looks like an undertaker," he said.

"It's up on the wall of the playroom so the Pope's next to the Wiggles and Mickey Mouse."

Crowe married Australian singer and actress Danielle Spencer in April 2003. The Oscar winner built an Italian-style chapel especially for the occasion.

He revealed to Leno that he is a romantic at heart, and showered his wife with cupcakes and flowers for Valentine's Day. "My wife was doing yoga and when she came out of yoga her 19-month-old boy Tennyson and her four-year-old son Charlie both had little bouquets of white roses and Gardenias," he said.

"There was a rose flower thing that stands about this high and then of course the thing that really drove it home was the half a dozen Sprinkles in a box.

"The cup cakes - the dark chocolate ones. Just as powerful as oysters they say."

We take ourselves too

We take ourselves too seriously if this becomes an issue. The only reason it's 'in print' is because of the chance of making this an issue by putting it in print and bringing people to the website (more hits). Voila. I'm here.

It's a non issue.

Not a blunder, as far as I'm

Not a blunder, as far as I'm concerned. He was right!

The audience wasn't

The audience wasn't shocked.. what a silly thing to say. He wasn't being sacrilegious either... it was a light moment and the audience laughed.

I agree, a non issue, tho gossips would like to make it so.

hahahaha!! He's actually

hahahaha!! He's actually right. The new pope looks obnoxious, and a big homophobe.
