Natalie Portman to direct her first movie in Hebrew

Natalie PortmanHollywood star Natalie Portman is set to direct her first movie - and it will be in Hebrew.

The Israeli-born actress will make her debut at the helm of a film version of Amos Oz's book 'A Tale of Love and Darkness.'

The book is a memoir of growing up in Jerusalem in the 1940s and 1950s.

"I've been reading Oz since high school, and when I read his biography I just sort of saw it," Portman, 26, told W magazine.
