Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's adoption of Pax finalized

Proud parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially adopted little Pax Thien almost a year after rescuing him from a Vietnamese orphanage.

The superstar couple went to LA County Children's Court to appear before a judge who finalised the adoption.

Brangelina had to go through a two-step process to formally adopt the four-year-old, who was living in an orphanage in Vietnam when he stole Angelina's heart in March 2007.

First the adotption had to be approved in Vietnam and then an LA judge also had to give them the thumbs-up.

A rep told how delighted Brad and Angelina celebrated at the courthouse on Wednesday.

Angelina walked out with a teddy bear given to every family that goes to Children's Court by a private foundation.
