Gene Simmons addresses sex tape

Kiss frontman Gene Simmons has addressed the sex-tape that surfaced online yesterday - insisting his legal team "is looking at all ramifications and options."

The 58-year-old rocker - who has been dating long-term partner Shannon Tweed for over 20 years, is alleged to have made the tape while carrying out promotional duties as a spokesman for Frank's Energy Drink.

The grainy black-and-white clip shows a man that appears to be Simmons wearing his T-shirt in various sexual positions on a bed. It was posted on a website that is selling the tape to those who wish to download the footage.

The site said the woman in the film is not Simmons' girlfriend Tweed, with whom he has two children. Instead she is named as an Austrian model called Elsa who is reported to work for the drinks company the star was hired to promote.

Gene posted this message, addressing the "incident" on his official website:

"Hi everyone,

"You may have heard or seen garbage that has sprung up from my past.

"Rest assured the proper legal team is looking at all ramifications and options.

"And us? Shannon, Nick and Soph are happy and healthy.

"All is well.

"And thank you all for the kind words of support."
