Lindsay Lohan's dad refuses to look at topless shots

Lindsay Lohan's dad is refusing to look at the pictures of his daughter posing topless for New York magazine.

"I’m not going to look at the photos — that’s my daughter!" Michael Lohan said this morning.

Despite not wanting to look at the photos, Michael does approve of Lindsay's decision to pay homage to Marilyn Monroe by recreating the actress' iconic 1962 photo shoot known as "The Last Sitting".

"Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career," he tells Us Weekly magazine. "It’s her decision.

"The fact that the photographer [Bert Stern] who did Marilyn Monroe’s pictures would ask Lindsay to re-create them … that’s an amazing thing."

But he prays that Lindsay won't follow the same fate as tragic Marilyn - who died of an apparent drugs overdose in 1962. "I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe’s destiny," he said.

In her New York interview, the 'Mean Girls' star said she had no plans to end up like Monroe or late actor Heath Ledger - who died last month after accidentally overdosing on prescription pills.

"I'm not them … I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me," she told the magazine.
