Simon Cowell gets ribbed for liking spotted dick

Telly Mr Nasty Simon Cowell's passion for spotted dick is getting him a ribbing from his American Idol pals.

Fellow judge Randy Jackson told how most Americans have no idea Simon's favorite pudding is a steamed dessert.

Randy admitted to chatshow host Conan O'Brien he was baffled when Simon told him how much he loves the traditional English steamed suet dish.

He said: "He has this dessert he likes called spotted dick.

"I had never heard of this so everyone just burst out laughing.

"Simon loves this dessert. That's all I can tell you."

Asked if he had ever tried spotted dick, O'Brien joked: "Once at college. It's a time to experiment."
