Britney Spears' pal Sam Lutfi served with restraining order

Britney Spears' manager and pal Sam Lutfi has finally been served with a restraining order from her parents, it was reported last night.

But it may have been delivered too late to be valid - meaning Jamie and Lynne Spears could have to serve him with updated paperwork.

The order was issued on February 1, but had to be served by 1.30pm on Wednesday to be valid.

Lutfi managed to dodge authorities for almost three weeks - before they finally caught up with him at his LA house yesterday.

Britney's mum Lynne claimed in the restraining order Lutfi drugged her daughter. She described a chaotic night at Britney's Hollywood Hills home where the popwreck was led around in a drugged and confused state by Lutfi.

Lynne's statement claimed Lutfi had "drugged Britney, he has cut Britney's home phone lines and removed her cell phone chargers".

But police insist they are not investigating the claims despite reports robbery and homicide officers are on the case.

LAPD Media Relations representative Richard French said: "There is no investigation into Sam allegedly medicating Britney."
