Britney Spears banned from all the pre-Oscars parties

Troubled Britney Spears has reportedly been banned from all the celeb filled pre-Oscars parties on Sunday - because "organizers don't want to take the risk of her showing up and creating a scene".

The singer, 26 - who recently regained visitation rights to see her sons, Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, is desperate to put on her favorite frock and snare an invite to one of the several glitzy bashes happening across town tomorrow - but has been left disappointed after being met with an embarrassing silence from organizers.

A source said: "While Brit is certainly a name in Hollywood - it's for all the wrong reasons. She's a car crash waiting to happen and organizers don't want to take the risk of her showing up and creating a scene."

Millions of dollars are being spent on parties across Los Angeles, with bashes being thrown by Madonna, Prince and Elton John.

Each star is fighting to secure the biggest guests - but Spears is seen as too much of a gamble. Adds the source: "Her presence at any party would instantly generate lots of publicity but while it's tempting to send out an invite, it's a hassle that they don't really want."

There's also concerns for Britney's health. With several A-listers fearing this weekend's glamorous parties are too much for the singer in her fragile state and might tip her over the edge.

The source adds to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "The Hollywood fraternity are horrified that Brit's breakdown has been played out practically on their doorsteps. There's a great deal of sympathy for her, so the decision not to invite Brit is out of concern for her too."

Britney is said to be devastated at the snub, but her parents, Jamie and Lynne, who have been desperately trying to keep her out of celebrity party circles - and feared the worst come Sunday night, are secretly delighted.
