Dwayne Johnson to play 'the Tooth Fairy'

Dwayne JohnsonWrestling hardman Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has found his next movie role - as the Tooth Fairy.

The WWE fighter-turned-actor has just signed up to play the children's mythology character in a family comedy.

Johnson, who is also starring in the comedy Get Smart, takes the role of an ordinary man who is brought in to save the tooth fairy kingdom. He recently starred in Disney hit The Gameplan.

The new film, titled The Tooth Fairy, will start shooting in August.  It is set to be directed by Michael Lembeck, who helmed the second and third installments of The Santa Clause trilogy, reported Variety.
