Britney Spears denies pregnancy reports

Troubled pop princess Britney Spears last night denied reports she is pregnant with Birmingham-born paparazzo Adnan Ghalib's baby.

A US magazine claimed yesterday that 35-year-old Ghalib, the singer's on-off boyfriend, had been bragging to pals that she is expecting his child, and quoting a source as saying: "Adnan's boasting that he's going to be a dad.

"Britney is his dream come true.

"He knows that if she has a child with her, he'd be made for life."

"[Britney] has been telling people how much she loves Adnan and crowing about having a baby with him."

But a source close to the 26-year-old mother of two has blasted the reports, saying: "Britney has put on weight because the doctors have switched her prescription."

Rumors of a possible pregnancy started back in January when the couple were pictured in a chemist buying a home pregnancy testing kit.

Britney's 16-year-old actress sister Jamie Lynn is currently expecting her first child.
