Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham fall out over a tattoo

Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham's friendship is on the rocks -- after Katie allegedly made a rude comment about the former Spice Girls' new tattoo, it has been claimed.

Beckham - who got a the phrase "De Integro" - meaning "afresh" inked on her arm - urged Katie to do the same - but Katie wasn't interested - and branded the work "trashy".

Victoria - who got the tattoo, her fifth, to mark her start in the U.S, was "pretty shocked and upset" when the Mad Money star mocked her new body art, says a source close to the 33-year-old wife of David Beckham.

Former 'Dawson's Creek' star Katie - married to 'Top Gun' star Tom Cruise - recently spoke about her relationships with her gal pals, saying: "It’s so cool when you see women working together, being friends.

"I like having girlfriends. I went to an all-girls academy for high school and I still have friends from back then. There wasn’t any backstabbing.

"We helped each other get through school, get through the proms, find dates, make the dress."

"You find out your girlfriend is having a baby or getting married and you want to be there for her. That’s powerful. That’s what we as women do for the world."
