Bobby Brown wants to be a country music star
Watch out Nashville - Bobby Brown wants to be a country music star.
The 'My Prerogative' singer may have failed to win US reality show Gone Country, but he has vowed to keep his finger in the country music pie.
"Nashville has not heard the last of Bobby Brown," he said.
Brown, 39, took part in Gone Country with six other celebrities, including Twisted Sister Dee Snider, Thong Song singer Sisqo and Wilson Phillips member Carnie Wilson.
The stars learned to croon in a country style and fought to record a single produced by country legend John Rich.
On Friday, Julio Iglesias Jr. - the son of singer Julio Iglesias - was named the winner of the show and Brown failed to hide his bitterness.
"I'm happy for him, but at the same time I want to whip his ass," he said. "I'm happy he won, but there's really no reasons."
During the show's finale, all six celebs performed country songs they had penned in front of a live audience, with Rich choosing the winner.
Brown's performance was lapped up by the crowd and won him praise from the country legend.
"This song's from my heart and it's about everything that I've lived in the last 15 years and where I'm going to go to," Brown said. "It's everything I'm going to be man, and I'm working hard to be better than I've ever been in my life."
He added: "I want to let the people know that no matter what, Bobby Brown's still standing."
