George Clooney engaged?

Hollywood hunk George Clooney has secretly gotten engaged to his cocktail waitress girlfriend Sarah Larson, it has been claimed.

The 'Michael Clayton' star, 46, is reportedly set to marry Larson in a summer ceremony near his romantic Lake Como hideaway.

"They haven't made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me," said a restaurant worker in Laglio, the town where Clooney has his villa. "They say the couple are already engaged."

George - who has been married once, to actress Talia Balsam, and has since been romantically linked to a string of Hollywood beauties - including Renée Zellweger - fell for the former VIP hostess, 29, when she served him drinks at the plush Palm Casino Hotel in Las Vegas in June 2007.

A whirlwind romance saw Larson quit a $200,000 job to join the fame game's jet set, with intimate trips to Venice, Dubai, Miami and, of course, George's Italian villa.

The happy couple next set tongues wagging when Larson became the first woman to walk the red carpet with the Hollywood A-lister at the Oscars last month.

And it seems the brunette is adapting well to the new life. "It's not often you get to mix with the likes of Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie - but Sarah has had that privilege and she's loving every minute of it," revealed one source. "I think George has found someone he wants to really give it a go with."
