Eliot Spitzer spent $80,000 on prostitutes
New York's disgraced Governor Eliot Spitzer allegedly spent $80,000 on prostitutes, it has been claimed.
The crime fighter-turned politician is expected to resign today amid allegations he slept with a string of call girls.
Married Spitzer has allegedly been paying for sex for a decade and traveled as far as Florida for liaisons, according to U.S reports.
One call girl, 'Sienna' told ABC News that she slept with Spitzer two years ago, that he was a generous tipper and that he 'didn't do anything that wasn't clean.'
It has been alleged that one of Spitzer's preferences was to sleep with call girls without condoms.
Spitzer, a father of three, is currently holed up in his Manhattan apartment with advisors. It is believed he is trying to work out a plea deal that would see him resign his position but avoid prosecution.
Insiders have told the New York Post that the FBI had been investigating Spitzer for six-months, and that in January they staked out the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C for the politician.
Spitzer's alleged use of prostitutes came to light when IRS agents noticed unusual financial transactions between Spitzer and a shell company that fronted the prostitution ring.
He was eventually caught on a wiretap ordering a brunette girl called 'Kristen' to his hotel room in Washington D.C on February 13.

As long as you have money in high places, you will have prostitutties looking for it and getting it. Legalize it and knock the problem off. Save the taxpayers money. Call it a crime if the rich ******* has used public money to make his mixed up brain right. Spitzer gets what he deserves and I suppose from the look on the wife's face today, she knew all about it. Guess she found him to unappealing to have sex with. Feel sorry for the girls though.
