Lindsay Lohan wants to sound like Rihanna and Kylie Minogue

Lindsay Lohan says she wants her next album to sound like "Kylie Minogue meets meets Rihanna".

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who has released two albums, 'Speak' in 2004, and 'A Little More Personal' in 2005, said: "I want it to be dance. I want it to be kind of Kylie Minogue meets Rihanna.

"I hope to tour with it and I hope to really promote it."

After a turbulent 12 months, with several stints in rehab and a barrage of family woes, the starlet is ready to ditch her bad girl image.

She is currently laying down tracks in New York and LA, but none of the songs will have lyrics about her troubles.

"I think the past is the past and it should be kept there," she tells People magazine.

"It's a new slate for me, and I want to show that in my new record."
