Mariah Carey to replace Janet Jackson on "SNL"
Mariah Carey is set to replace Janet Jackson on "SNL", it has been confirmed.
Sources tell gossip website TMZ that Carey, 37, will be the musical guest on the show this week after Janet Jackson dropped out because of the flu.
"They wanted her for 10 years," says a rep for Carey. "It's going to be hot!"
Jackson, 41, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Monday 'with a shortness of breath'.
She was treated by doctors and released a short time later.
The singer's rep later confirmed the star had been treated but insisted she was just suffering from the flu and nothing more serious.
"Janet is fine. She's just battling this flu like everyone else."
The 'All For You' songstress plans to tour later this year, and also is co-writing a dieting book, expected to hit shelves by the end of the year.
"It takes you through those moments in my life up 'til now and what worked for me," she recently told Billboard.com.
"And hopefully within that, if it doesn't work for them, maybe they'll find something that does work for them and a nice place for them to be content with who they are.

What is it with this one?
What is it with this one? Carey is half black/half white and has left her family in the dust of her success.
I don't think she sings that well. Her reputation is disgusting at best.
