Paul McCartney stars in new PETA ad

Paul McCartney strikes a pose for the latest PETA ad - where he proudly declares "I'm Paul McCartney, and I am a vegetarian."

On the ad, the Beatles legend, 65, also reveals why he ditched meat and turned veggie all those years ago

"Many years ago, I was fishing and as I was reeling in the poor fish, I realized, 'I am killing him – all for the passing pleasure it brings me," declares Paul, whose late wife Linda McCartney had her own famous line of frozen vegetarian meals .

"And something inside me clicked. I realized as I watched him fight for breath, that his life was as important to him as mine is to me."

Alicia Silverstone, Casey Affleck, Forest Whitaker and Joss Stone have all previously fronted campaigns for organization.
