SteveoHospitalized 'Jackass' star Steve-O has admitted he has gone "psycho" and is "in the looney bin" in a message to fans on his blog.

The London-born TV prankster is being held at an LA hospital and is reportedly on suicide watch.

Under the headline "You should all know I am in the looney bin", he wrote on his blog: "They call it "code 5150," that means "psycho,"legally, f*ckin bat-shit, certifiably.

"I'm outta my mind, believe-you-me.

"How'd I get this way? How can this be?

"It's gotten so bad there's nothing left of me."

Steve-O - real name Stephen Glover is believed to be at the same mental mental health center where actor Owen Wilson was taken following his suicide attempt last year.

Sources say he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Sunday after threatening to take his own life.

Steve-O says on his blog his concerned Jackass pals are the reason he's now getting help.

He wrote: "Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, Big Regg, Swizz, Rick Kosick, Dimitry Elyaschevich, Cordell Mansfield, and Trip Taylor came to my home and, physcially [sic], forced me into the hospital."

Steve-O was hospitalised just days after a video showing him pointing a gun at his head was posted on the internet.

The livewire star is said to suffer from bipolar disorder. He spent a night in police cells last week after being arrested for allegedly punching holes in a wall at his Hollywood apartment building.

Steve-O is said to have emailed suicide notes to several friends last weekend, blaming a broken romance for his torment.

A video posted on YouTube also showed him playing Russian roulette with a revolver while smashing up his apartment in a rage after being evicted.

A manic Steve-O is seen asking the cameraman: ""Do you like my revolver?

"Do you like it pointing at you?"

It is not clear if the revolver is real or a replica, but Steve-O says: "It doesn't work."
