Keith Richards brands Mick Jagger 'excruciatingly camp'

March 16 2008

Keith RichardsRolling Stones' legend Keith Richards says he has endured years of "excruciatingly painful campness" from bandmate Mick Jagger.

Despite being one of the greatest song-writing partnerships in musical history, Richards makes it clear he was not a fan of every part of his singer's life.

"I mean, dickering and dangling," he says of Mick's behavior. "I'm not there watching it every day.

"But there was, at the time, a load of excruciatingly painful campness that went on."

However, in his interview with a U.S. magazine he has nothing to say about legendary rumors of a wild night between Jagger and fellow rock superstar David Bowie. "I really have no idea," he insists.

Keith does not deny any unending supply of women were there for them on the road - but insists they were not just used for sex.

"It wasn't just boinky-boinky," says Richards. "They used to take care of you.

"They used to rub Vicks on your chest if you had a cold."
