Halle Berry has a baby girl

Halle BerryHalle Berry has given birth to a baby girl, her representative has confirmed.

Berry 41, who recently said: "I want to stay pregnant forever" reportedly had the baby girl at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The rep added that the mother, "is doing great."

Berry went public with her pregnancy in September last year, after she was three months along.

The father is Gabriel Aubry, a 32-year-old model Berry met while shooting an advert for international fashion house Versace in Los Angeles in November 2005.

They first stepped out as a couple in February 2006 at the opening of a Versace boutique in New York.

The baby girl's name has yet to be confirmed.
