Ashton Kutcher making a "dirty little movie" to apologize to all the girls he hurt
Hollywood hunk Ashton Kutcher is making a "dirty little movie" - as a way of apologizing to all the girls he hurt as a 'serial dater'.
Ashton, 30, admits that before marrying Demi Moore, 45, he "had a serial-dating period" where he was "was pretty abusive of my attributes".
"My fame and my looks," he added. "I was pretty abusive to a lot of people."
Now as a happily married man he is clearly upset about his behavior - and is using film to try to make amends.
In his next movie, Spread, he will be an Alfie-style swinging bachelor - and Ashton makes it clear the story is very close to home.
"It's about a guy who's a dating machine - he sort of seduces women for financial gain without officially being a gigolo," Ashton says. "It's a pretty dirty little movie.
"It's honest, and in this case that honesty is kid of brutal.
"This movie is kind of my way to say I'm sorry to a lot of girl I may have hurt by not being respectful."
Ashton - speaking to VMan in the U.S., where he posed as a robot on the cover - added: "I think the way I look has given me some opportunities I may have not otherwise had.
"I thank God for what I have. I guess I'm happy about the way I look."
Another movie of his, 'Personal Effects', also has its raunchy moments where Ashton's character has love scenes with Michelle Pfeiffer. The young star admits he found the thought of it too overwhelming to accept.
"If I had stepped back and said, 'You're going to work today to make love to Michelle Pfeiffer' that would freak me the f**k out'," he said. "I would have been like, 'Holy s**t!'. I would have a really awkward time doing it."
As for his personal life, he insists he has never thought of Demi as an "older woman" despite the 15 year age difference.
"I don't think I've ever romanced an older woman. I've romanced a woman," he said. "I don't believe that souls have an age."
He says he and Demi "treat each other with reverence", adding: "I work really hard on myself to constantly become a better person, and she does the same. We seek to make each other's lives better, and by doing so we share a really unique partnership."
Part of that uniqueness is the amazingly close bond Ashton shares with Demi's ex-husband - and father of their three children Rumer, Scout and Tallulah - Bruce Willis.
"Bruce is one of my best friends," he insists. "If I were in a pinch, he'd be there. And I'd be there for him, no matter what. Not that it was always so."
"At first, sure, there's the initial animosity you have toward someone who's been with your significant other, that's just your fear, your insecurities.
"But I have such faith in my relationship with my wife that I don't feel that I have to have those kinds of insecurities.
"Then you get a real glimpse at who that person is as an individual."
He also admits he chooses his friends largely on what Demi thinks.
"My barometer for people is very strongly linked with my wife," he said. "And if my wife is friends with this person, she's friends for a reason, and that's because he's a great person."
Mostly, he says they all like being so close for the sake of the children.
"Bruce, Demi and I want to provide an environment where they feel loved by everyone," he said. "So we became a team, we became friends."
He admits to feeling incredibly blessed with his life.
"Demi and I play around the world, and that is awesome," he says. "I have a great spiritual foundation, an amazing career, a loving, supportive wife and family, I have a lot of friends, and I don't have any enemies. I don't know a lot of people who have what I have."
He also has lofty work ambitions.
"My short-term goal is building Katalyst Films," he says of his company. "I want to turn my company into Dreamworks, basically."

So great that he's acting
So great that he's acting again. I bet producing shows like "Pop Fiction" takes a lot of his time. Glad to see him back in front of the camera instead of behind it.
