Britney Spears' dad given permission to sell some of her cars

Dodgy driver Britney Spears will be losing some of her flash cars after a judge gave her dad permission to sell them off.

The Toxic singer's conservators, including dad Jamie, were given the green light to flog the motors at a court hearing Monday.

The exact names and models of the cars were not revealed at the hearing, where the request to sell them was made by co-conservator Andrew Wallet.

A white Mercedes SL 65 series is among the fleet of racy cars Britney has been seen driving in recent months. But the pop wreck has had a string of motoring mishaps that even landed her in trouble with the law.

She found herself in hot water last year for driving without a valid California license and was also charged with a misdemeanor count of hit and run. The charge came after she smashed her car into another in a parking lot in August.

Britney has also been caught on camera running red lights and making dangerous manoeuvres.

The judge also extended the restraining order against Britney's former pal Sam Lutfi for another month.

Lutfi agreed not to fight the order and allow the extension. It basically means he can have no contact with Britney.
