Madonna shrugs off rumors her marriage is in trouble

Pop Queen Madonna has shrugged off rumors that her marriage to British director Guy Ritchie is in trouble.

The Material Girl was reportedly annoyed that public schoolboy Ritchie had played up his working class roots. And it has been even claimed that they have been living separate lives.

"Madonna is said to have lost respect for Ritchie when she found out he had embellished his past," one insider told the New York post.

The couple, who have been married for seven-years, set tongues waging when Ritchie did not attend Madonna's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

But Madonna's representative has hit back, denying claims that the marriage is in trouble and that Madonna is eying a return to New York.

"All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household," Liz Rosenberg told the New York Post.

"Their marriage is definitely not hanging by a thread. Madonna has no plans to move to New York.

"I am delighted to confirm they remain happily married. They're still both sharing Cloud 9 - as opposed to Client 9, ha ha!"
