Madonna's father-in-law hints at marriage troubles
Madonna's father-in-law has hinted that her marriage to Guy Ritchie is on the rocks.
Reports at the weekend claimed that the 'Material Girl' singer was set to move to New York, while Ritchie remained in London. These reports where then dashed by Madonna's rep, who said: "I am delighted to confirm that Mr and Mrs Guy Ritchie remain happily married.
"All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household."
But Guy Ritchie's father, John, has suggested that the pair -- who have been married for seven years but haven't been pictured together since their January trip to India -- are drifting apart.
John said: "They're not spending any time together. Madonna is busy in America with the children, and Guy wants to stay in the UK. They won't be spending Easter together either."
Guy, 39, was last week absent from Madonna's induction to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and she failed to mention him in her acceptance speech.
John added to Britain's Closer magazine: "Guy is very busy over here in England, and didn't make it to her film premiere last week. He spends his weekends in the countryside and the rest of the time in London."
The couple -- who have sons, Rocco, seven, and adopted son David, two -- as well as Madonna's daughter Lourdes, 11 -- have visited a marriage counselor over problems in the past.
John said: "Guy will be over here all year as he's working on a script. I don't know if there are serious problems in the marriage. I truly hope not."
