Kate Beckinsale goes commando on Craig Ferguson's chat show

Saucy Kate Beckinsale revealed she was going commando on a US chat show.

The movie beauty told Scots host Craig Ferguson she wasn't wearing any knickers after her microphone fell out just moments into their interview.

She claimed she decided not to put them on after hearing Ferguson had not bothered with underwear.

The Brit actress said: "They wanted to hook it into the back of my knickers, but then when I heard you were going commando I thought I would go commando too.

"There was nothing for them to hook it on to and it just fell out."

Joker Ferguson had Kate giggling when he produced an oversized pair of Y-fronts. And the laughter continued when he told her a character in her new film Snow Angels looked to young too be going out with hers.

Kate laughed: "Thanks a lot.

"I come all the way here, I suffer the pants, then you tell me I'm old.

"I wore no underwear for you. Look where it got me."

Ferguson had the last word though, saying: "The night is young. If I can dig myself out of this hole we will get back to that."
