Britney Spears' dad to sell some of her cars

Dodgy driver Britney Spears owns seven cars and has been spending a small fortune on running them, court documents reveal.

The 'Gimme More' singer's fleet of flash motors includes a Mercedes SL65, a Mercedes CLK350, and a Mini Cooper convertible.

But her conservator dad Jamie is now selling some of them off to make "substantial" savings on insurance, maintenance and storage costs.

The court papers show his lawyers have been given the power to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of Britney's cars.

Lawyers for Jamie said the sales "will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate".

Britney has had a string of motoring mishaps that even landed her in trouble with the law.

She found herself in hot water last year for driving without a valid California license and was also charged with a misdemenour count of hit and run. The charge came after she smashed her car into another in a parking lot in August.

Popwreck Britney has also been caught on camera running red lights and making dangerous manoeuvres.
