Mel Gibson speaks out over worker's suicide
Hollywood actor Mel Gibson has spoken out regarding the tragic suicide of a workman at his new home in Agoura Hills.
The 'Braveheart' star, 52, feels "terrible" that a construction worker hung himself on his property, according to a rep.
The body of the 47-year-old workman was discovered "in full rigor mortis" at the site at 8am Wednesday.
"There were three additional co-workers there, one of them notified the police," Detective Eddie Brown of the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department said.
"Nobody lives on the property, it's only wood framework."
Police say that no note was found, but that it is being treated as suicide. Brown says that the man was found hanging just 2ft off the ground.
Gibson was not at the site and has never lived on the compound, which is just one mile from his Holy Family Catholic Church.
