Heath Ledger's dad urged to "come clean" about wealth

Heath Ledger's father Kim Ledger has been urged to "come clean" about the late actor's wealth for the sake of two-year-old Matilda, Heath's daughter with former fiance Michelle Williams.

Court documents filed in New York list the Brokeback Mountain star's assets at under $150,000 following Heath's death in January.

Michelle Williams' dad, Larry, said: "Come clean. Say where the income went and where the assets are."

The Brokeback Mountain star's will, which was written before he started his relationship with Williams, left everything he owned to his parents and sisters.

Kim is now in charge of the estate, and has insisted that Matilda 'will be taken care of.'

Heath's uncles also claim that Kim has a poor track record of handling estates, and was even removed as the executor of their grandfather's estate in Australia 15-years-ago.

"It plunged into enormous debt," Kim's brother, Mike Ledger, told People.com.

"Our only vested interest is to assure that Matilda is well looked after.

"When you are talking about large sums of money like this, it should be an independent executor, but Kim hasn't chosen that way."

Another of Heath's uncles, Hayden, says he was approached by Larry Williams and asked if Kim was capable of handling the estate.

"I just said, 'No, not if he handles it like ours,'" Hayden said.

Heath's death on January 22 shocked fans who saw him as the happy family man - not a troubled star abusing drugs.

But toxicology results showed the 28-year-old actor had consumed a vast number of different prescription pills before being found dead in bed.
