JC Chasez: 'Chace Crawford rumors are annoying'

JC Chasez says he's fed-up with the online speculation that he and Chace Crawford are more than just good friends.

"You know what, it's laughable the first time," the former 'N Sync star said at the live finale of Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew. "I think the tenth time, it gets annoying."

Chasez and Gossip Girls star Crawford -- who recently split from girlfriend Carrie Underwood -- have been spotted together on several occasions; at Elton John's post-Oscar bash; and more recently, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel this past weekend – fueling rumors of a possible romance.

"I don't care about [people's] assumptions or anything, but when people outright lie, that's wrong," Chasez tells People.com. "So I think that part of the rumor is outright stupid."

The 31-year-old – who has previously dated Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria – added, "The fact of the matter is I'm a straight guy and I'm allowed to have [guy] friends."
