Pete Doherty 'obsessed' with Scientology
Rocker Pete Doherty has become obsessed with Scientology after his girlfriend introduced him to the controversial religion, it has been claimed.
The 28-year-old Babyshambles frontman is hooked on the bizarre cult that boasts Tom Cruise, John Travolta & Kirstie Alley as members.
A source said: "Nadine is really into Scientology. She takes her beliefs very seriously.
"Pete’s chatted a lot with her about it. He went out and bought some books to read up about it.
"He just wanted to find out more about Nadine and what she believes in."
Scientology, which was invented by sci-fi writer L Ron Hubbard in 1951, teaches that women should remain silent during childbirth because the noise evokes bad memories as the child grows up.
Mums are also not allowed to take any painkillers during labor and the baby is not washed for 24 days.
