Katie Holmes set for Broadway?

March 29 2008

Katie HolmesKatie Holmes is set to make her stage debut on Broadway, it has been claimed.

According to respected showbiz writer Baz Bamigboye of Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, the former 'Dawson's Creek' actress "is in final negotiations to make her professional stage debut" in a revival of All My Sons, Arthur Miller's heartbreaking, post-World War II family drama.

An insider said: "This play will be like a shop window for Katie. The aim is to remind people of her acting chops. It's kind of a neat idea.

"Nicole Kidman had Hollywood eating out of her hand when she was in The Blue Room."

While the Mail reports the 29-year-old star -- who's married to Tom Cruise -- has committed to participating in a workshop of the play in May, Katie's rep says that she is in discussions and that "nothing is set."

If she does take the role, Holmes would play a woman who visits the family of her former lover, a missing pilot. It would be her first play since high school and Holmes would be on stage six nights a week.
