Chace Crawford "doing okay" since split from Carrie Underwood

Chace Crawford's little sister Candice says the Gossip Girls star is "doing okay" since his split from girlfriend Carrie Underwood.

"He's doing okay through this whole ordeal," Candice said. "He was upset about the breakup. It's always hard when you lose a relationship."

But despite the break-up; and having to endure online speculation about his sexuality, the actor won't be moping around for long. "Chace will get through it," she said. "We love Carrie, too. They're dolls and they'll both do well."

Candice is set to compete in the Miss USA Pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on April 11 – and Crawford, 23, will be there rooting for her.

"The whole family will be there rooting for me," Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri, tells People magazine at On Top Of Cloud 9, a dinner for the pageant contestants. "My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone."

Candice will have to impress judges including Heather Mills, Joey Fatone, Rob Schneider and Project Runway winner Christian Siriano to capture the crown.
