Sam Lutfi denies Britney restraining order was extended

Sam Lutfi and Britney SpearsBritney Spears' pal Sam Lutfi insists that a restraining order banning him from seeing the troubled singer has not been extended.

In a statement released Friday, Lutfi slammed reports he has been barred from seeing Britney until April 16 -- insisting they "have not been proven to date."

He said he never agreed to an extension, adding, "I want my case heard by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge."

In March, Lutfi -- Spears' one-time manager -- filed papers objecting to the California Superior Court commissioner who ordered him to stay away from the Toxic singer.

Lutfi is free to appear in court on April 16 to petition for a new judge.

In February, a restraining order was issued against him after Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, accused him of drugging her daughter.
