Snoop Dogg won't let his political views influence his records
Rap bad boy Snoop Dogg insists he won't let his political views influence his records.
The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' singer -- real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus -- has strong opinions about former US President Bill Clinton and presidential hopeful Barack Obama, but doesn't want them to feature too heavily in his music.
He said: "I feel like all these political things affect me, but I don't need to be crying and s**t on my records."
The 36-year-old also said he felt Bill Clinton was a great US President because he recognized there was a racial problem in the country.
He added to British newspaper The Guardian: "Clinton was the closest we are going to get to the first black president. He related to black needs and black values, black understanding and racism. He was from Little Rock in Arkansas.
"That's a black-dominated world. He was part of us. That's why everyday was happy when he was in office. It was just the funnest time in the world. Everything worked."
