Amy Winehouse thinks Pete Doherty is "a bit of a clown"

Amy Winehouse wasn't bothered when she found out pal Pete Doherty had been jailed for 14 weeks Tuesday.

"Amy's first reaction when she heard was to laugh," said a pal of the troubled 'Rehab' singer.

"Pete had told everyone he was just going to court for a quick appearance and had no idea he was going to jail.

"She just laughed and kept saying, 'I can't believe it'. Pete’s just a comedy character to Amy. She thinks he's a bit of a clown."

The Babyshambles rocker, 29, was handed the sentence at West London Magistrates Court for drug use and failing to attend probation hearings on time.

A court spokesman said yesterday that the rocker had been jailed for "breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs".
