Pete Doherty receiving "five-star treatment" in prison
Jailed rocker Pete Doherty has angered inmates at London's Wormwood Scrubs prison -- after he was given a jail cell to himself and a bunk with two mattresses.
The Babyshambles star -- who was locked up after repeatedly missing drug tests -- is receiving five-star treatment despite prison overcrowding.
Other inmates at the notorious West London prison are said to be furious the star has been handed the extra bedding, a TV and a radio. Doherty, 29, is in the segregation wing with 16 high-risk lags, including pedophiles.
A source said: "He’s in the segregation unit because of who he is. It’s thought he could be vulnerable.
"He’s been put on enhanced privileges, which means he can have virtually what he wants, so that includes an extra mattress, TV and radio.
"It’s basically the five-star treatment, which takes most prisoners weeks of good behavior to achieve."
The troubled star was jailed for 14 weeks because he broke the terms of his suspended sentence for possessing crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ketamine.
He had been ordered to take regular drug tests, but he skipped appointments, turned up late and behaved rudely to staff.
