Heath LedgerTragic Heath Ledger was told to seek professional help for his personal problems while filming 'The Dark Knight'.

The actor -- who was found dead in is Downtown Manhattan apartment after accidentally overdosing on prescription drugs in January -- was warned he had become too obsessed with his portrayal of iconic Batman villain The Joker in the upcoming Christopher Nolan directed blockbuster.

"Heath refused to talk to anyone out of character. If you tried to communicate with him normally instead of The Joker, he would just ignore you," a source told Fox news.

"He would often come to the set to hang out even on his days off, freaking everyone out. Towards the end of filming, he was warned by people that he had gone too far, but it was almost like he couldn't connect with those who cared for him anymore."

Heath, 28, reportedly locked himself in an apartment for an entire month before playing The Joker, who he described as a "psychotic, mass-murdering clown".

The 28-year-old had admitted that the severe insomnia he suffered while shooting the film led him to take the prescription drug Ambien.

Sources on the set of 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' -- the movie Ledger was filming when he died -- also claimed the actor could not "snap out" of character and seemed to have "lost sense" of who he was.

For some unearthly reasone,

For some unearthly reasone, the unfortunate demise of Heath Ledger has me sensing that his death is a message. At least perhaps a focus on mental health issues in our world. Especially for actors. Actors are artists. Artists are sensitive beyond the norm.

There is no doubt that Heath

There is no doubt that Heath Ledger was a phenominal actor and will remain as one of the worlds gifts.
Reported findings state that there was no trace of any illegal drugs in his system. There may not have been anything in his system at time of death but clearly he had been taking drugs. One only has to look at photographs over the past couple of years to see the changes his face had undergone. A more drawn look around the mouth with creases of skin clearly visible along with some changes around his eyes lead one to speculate that he was ingesting Crystal Meth. A persons face does not dramatically change, losing the fatty layer under the skin, without help and CM is the one drug that seems to this at a quick pace. May Health's soul radiate upon his family filling a void in their hearts and may his legacy as a film star be solidified in Hollywood's history.

To anyone who worked with

To anyone who worked with Heath on the TDK or the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus sets: I am so grateful that I hear more and more testimonies from level headed people that recently worked with him so we're not only hearing from those anonymous (paid) "sources" that don't hesitate to smear his good name!
I am together with a lot of like minded people in the process of contacting the media companies involved in the smearing campaign. We would like to hear from people working on those sets, or who from some other reason came in close contact with Heath last year. Please write to me at leaveheathalone@hotmail.com

It is so easy for people to

It is so easy for people to come up with this crap. I don't believe a word of it. They are trying to make him into some obsessed junkie. I am glad the people that worked very close to him are saying it isn't true. Leave the guy alone,he's dead.

I finished filming 'The

I finished filming 'The Imaginarium...' with Heath Ledger on 20th January and during all that time he was nothing but professional - working into the small hours in the freezing cold, clad only in satin, fighting flu, doing his own stunt work, chilling out with the crew, viewing the rushes with Gilliam.
There was no star system and Heath was part of the crew, helping out and working damned hard.
Besides that, Heath was caring and friendly and if you didn't know him you quickly grew to love him because he had a genuine way of connecting with people.
I was totally enchanted by Heath's performance and it was a pure joy to be around him.
