Cameron Diaz's dad dies of pneumonia

Cameron DiazCameron Diaz's father died suddenly from pneumonia early Tuesday morning.

Emilio Diaz, 58, recently developed the flu which then turned into pneumonia. He was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company. He had a bit part in his daughter's film "There's Something About Mary" as "Jailbird."

Production was shut down on Diaz's current project, "My Sister's Keeper" Tuesday, according to TMZ.com.

Cameron's rep has not responded to calls for comment.
